General FAQs
Where are you located & can I do Virtual?
I am located close to the downtown fort lauderdale area – my address is 805 E Broward Blvd suite 301 Fort Lauderdale, fl 33301.
If you are local you are welcome to come into the office for an in-person session however if you are unable to come in-person I do conduct virtual or session over Zoom.
How long is a typical session
The first session can be slightly longer since it is the first one and I am getting to know you. The first session can last for roughly 2 hrs and 15 minutes long.
Any future sessions are scheduled for 1 hr and 45 minutes.
Roughly you can plan for 2 hrs.
What do I do to get started?
Contact me by calling for an initial, no-obligation 20-minute consultation. We’ll do this to assure that we’re a good fit as I work with those that I feel I can truly help.
During our call, I will clarify any misconceptions or additional questions you may have and guide you through the entire process.
Can I just do one session?
Yes, you can. However depending on what you are looking to acheive usually more then one sesson is recommened.
You can still gain something from doing just one session but typicaly more is recommended to ensure lasting change.
If you wish to continue after the first session, then you must purchase a package plan, which may or may not include the first initial session (this is your choice).
It is my mission to help create real long-lasting change. One-hit wonders simply do not last for inner change that truly transforms your entire life.
EXCEPTION: If you are struggling with a very specific event or fear one session can have great success, please call to clarify.
How many sessions do I need?
This can vary because each person and situation is unique. However, the types of cases I typically take on often involve issues related to emotional instability, mood changes, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts. These issues are often ‘deep-seated’ and stem from long-standing subconscious patterns related to past or even childhood traumas. On average, most of my clients commit to around 10 sessions. However, if someone comes to me for a more specific issue—such as a phobia, fear, or specific habit (like drinking or smoking)—these types of issues generally require about 5 sessions to see significant improvement and resolution.
How much is a session?
Every session cost the same, first or future session. The cost is a flat rate for the duration of the time spent and is 350$.
If after the first session you feel that you would like to continue the work I have packages which you can purchase.
How much is the packages?
The packages are discounted and I offer packages based on the average people usually work with me being 5 or 10 sessions.
The 5 sessions package cost a total of $1,575. You can choose to pay for this in full or you can try your first session at the normal rate of $350 and on the follow up or session #2 you can decide and pay the difference (which would be $1,225). This way you get discount for first session as well. The total discount is 10% for the 5 session and 15% for the 10 sessions.
The 10 session package is a total cost of $2,975. And the same rules apply to the 10 session as the 5 seesion – do first session and on 2nd session pay the balance in the package to get discount.
Will it work? Is there some gurantee?
I offer a guarantee in the quality of service provided – if you are truly dissatisfied with my ability to offer quality care, I will refund your money.
I do not offer a guarantee in your ability to reach your goals, as that is something only you can truly do, by being open and willing to trust the process and my skill to guide you. However, if you do those things, I can assure you a high rate of success.
I guarantee that I will offer you the best of my ability, guidance and quality of service. I guarantee I will clarify, communicate openly, and be honest in my mission of helping you.
I’ve trained extensively – not just in school but on my own wellness – to assure that I’ve cleared my own blockages and opened my heart to assure I am fully capable to be able to offer the utmost quality of care to get you to your goals.
How do I pay?
Major credit cards, cash or check.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance due to the scope of practice and nature of the service.
Can I cancel my appointment? Any cancelation policy?
Please be aware that my appointment slots are typically booked in advance due to the time frame required per session (2 hrs.).
I understand that things occur in life that we cannot predict or control. In these cases, I ask that you just let me know as soon as possible. In order to give the slot to another that may need it I request a customary cancellation time frame of 24-48 hours.
If you cancel within he 24hr peroid before the appoitnment there is a fee of the total session.
What is the free initial phone consultation?
This is a call to assure we both are not wasting our time. I want to assure I can help you and that you are a good fit for me to truly make real change.
There is no commitment on the initial call; we simply to get to know one another, and, if we match, we move forward with scheduling.
I will take only clients who voluntarily and electively come to me without any coercion from another person. I want to assure this is what you, and no one else would want – as change comes only from within the desire of wanting it.
FAQs About Working With Me
What Can I expect on my first session?
You can expect to first be greeted in a safe comforting environment. The initial part of the session typically starts with getting to know you and you geting to know me. I will do a bit of education in roughly about a 30-45 minute window. After you are feeling more comfortable (being slightly nervous is normal) you will then go through a very easy induction process comparable to a guided meditation. Depending on what is initially discussed a technique is usually reviewed and the remained of the time is spend in a trance state and working on the goals discussed. It is ideal to focus on one area desired although this “one area” usually overlaps in other areas.
What can I expect on my first virtual session?
We will meet on zoom. Once your appointment is scheduled an automatic link will be sent along with any additional guidance and support. The initial part of the session typically starts with getting to know you and you getting to know me. I will do a bit of education in roughly about a 30-45 minute window. After you are feeling more comfortable (being slightly nervous is normal) you will then go through a very easy induction process comparable to a guided meditation. Depending on what is initially discussed a technique is usually reviewed and the remainder of the time is spent in a trance state and working on the goals discussed. It is ideal to focus on one area desired although this “one area” usually overlaps in other areas.
Can I record my session/s?
Yes, of course, you can record. While I don’t record sessions myself, you are welcome to record any or all sessions. If you choose to do so, I encourage you to ensure your device is set up and ready before we begin. Please let me know if you’re recording so I can tell you the optimal time to start. I’m also happy to assist with recording upon request
How fast will I see results?
Results vary by person, and depending on your goals, you may notice changes as soon as the first session. Most people feel more relaxed, lighter, and gain greater clarity after just one session. By around five sessions, others around you may start to notice positive changes as well.
I've tried other forms of therapy, so will this really work?
If you’ve tried other forms of therapy but have never experienced hypnosis, this approach may work very well for you. Many traditional therapies are limited in their depth of approach. While I incorporate some similar techniques from traditional therapy, I do so while you’re in a trance state, which makes a significant difference. Unlike many formal therapies, I connect the work to the body and emotional sensations, and I may even use regression (guiding you back to a time you first felt a particular way) to uncover and reprogram what’s needed
What if I can't meditate or relax or quiet my mind?
If you find it difficult to relax, meditate, or quiet your mind, that’s completely fine. When I ask people if they’ve ever meditated, most say they’ve ‘tried’ but felt unsuccessful. I believe the purpose of meditation is to become aware of how ‘loud’ or intrusive the mind can be. Hypnosis with a guide is different from trying to enter a meditative or trance state on your own. As your guide, I ensure that you understand how hypnosis works, and my voice and guidance can serve as a helpful distraction to your thinking mind.
I am trained to bypass the cognitive mind, using specific word patterns and language that connect more directly with the subconscious mind. I’ve been able to guide the majority of my clients into some form of trance, from light to deep, depending on our rapport and the time we’ve spent working together. So, if you struggle with meditation or quieting your mind, it doesn’t mean you can’t experience trance or benefit from hypnosis.
What should I expect after a session?
After your first session, you can generally expect to feel a sense of relief and clarity. For the vast majority, this feeling is accompanied by a sense of lightness, and some people may even feel more energized or inspired. In a small number of cases, there can be an increase in awareness of emotions or feelings you might not have noticed before. If this happens, I encourage you to reach out with any questions or for reassurance about the process. Overall, most people leave their first session feeling uplifted and more attuned to their inner state
Is our work confidential?
Absolutely, as a medical professional, I assure all confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Anything you tell or say during our sessions is held in confidence unless you are at direct risk of harm to yourself or another.
Do you work with men? Women? Couples? Adolescents?
I work with either gender and focus heavily on young adults over the age of 17; however, I will see children if it is a fit.
When it comes to couples the work is a bit more unique in that we do do sessions together with both parties but individual sessions or one on one work with each person is required when I take on couples (see service page for details on couples work).
Do you work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions?
Absolutely, any and all. I myself have been raised in a very diverse and multicultural home. I will assure that your beliefs and unique identity will play an important role in your healing process.
Does anyone cry in front of you?
Absolutely. I encourage any expressions of emotions. I do my best to ensure a safe space for you to feel comfortable with being open and vulnerable. I am here to help you heal. It is very important that you develop, with my guidance, a “felt sense” or understanding of your emotions and why you have them and where they have come from.
To do this work, you do not suppress these emotions. You need to release and feel them. I have cried myself countless times in my own transformation, and it is within those emotional expressions that I became free from my own pain and suffering.
You can, too!
Do I have to tell you everything?
No, you do not! You do NOT “HAVE” to tell me any details of the events or memories. I’m skilled enough to intuitively and objectively guide you to heal within simply by bringing forth how your concerns make you feel.
I do not need the ALL the details of events; I simply need your true and authentic-ness to express yourself, the symptoms, the goal of your issues (how you want to feel or do), and I will guide you through the rest without needing to know the details.
Details truly do not matter as much as how the situation makes you feel. I help you process this within yourself.
Hypnotherapy allows you to have full autonomy or choice in whatever you want to say or do. You are FULLY aware; you are just in an altered state that actually gives you an extremely focused awareness.
I will help with re-focusing that attention where it needs to be to facilitate healing and change to reach your goal.
I’m not a mind reader, but I have acquired the skills to teach you to help yourself without knowing “everything.”
Do you take notes or document our session?
I take very few notes, and rarely do I save them. If something is saved, it is fully HIPAA-compliant and secure. I do not need much detail to do this work; the core essence of your problem is the way it makes you feel, the emotions or symptoms – there isn’t much else.
In addition, because I do not work with insurance companies, there is no need for such documentation.
Having been in the healthcare field since 2007, I know that the reason doctors and clinicians document so much is not for you but for the insurance company. They recall the core essence of what they need to work on, but they document primarily for insurance to show the medical need or necessity of care.
They document so that if insurance ask for records to prove the payment, they will have that proof.
This is one of the reasons I also do not work with insurance providers; they take away from the time I can utilize to focus on true healing work.
Do I need to wear special clothing?
No; wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You will be sitting and lounging ont he couch. I have a blanket and pillows for further comfort while in an altered relaxation state or when we go into hypnosis.
FAQs About Hypnotherapy
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a relaxed focus state. Using Altered States of Consiouness, you are awake and aware the entire time but noticable feelings tell you that it is an altered state. The sensations can be compared to right before you fall asleep.
Hypnotherapy is used to be able t o access the subconsious mind where core beleifs and even memories are stored.
Through guidance, I will redirect your focus and attention to allow the critical mind to step aside in order to communicate openly and effectively with your subconscious mind.
How do I know if I am able to be Hypnotized?
That’s one of the most common concerns people have — and the good news is, almost everyone can be hypnotized. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused awareness and relaxation that we all experience every day — like getting lost in a movie, driving somewhere and realizing you don’t remember every turn, or becoming completely absorbed in a book or daydream.
Being able to be hypnotized isn’t about willpower or control — it’s about allowing rather than forcing. Sometimes, the harder we try to make it happen, the more we stay in the analytical part of the mind that resists letting go. It’s like trying to remember the name of an actor that’s “right on the tip of your tongue.” The moment you stop trying so hard, it naturally comes to you. Hypnosis works in a similar way — the more you allow yourself to relax and trust the process, the more effortlessly it happens.
There are simple ways to get a sense of your hypnotic responsiveness, such as guided focus or imagination exercises (for example, imagining your arm feeling light like a balloon or heavy like a weight). But these are just gentle indicators — not tests you can “pass” or “fail.”
During our session, I’ll guide you step by step into the hypnotic state at your pace. There’s no pressure and no “right way” to do it. Most people are pleasantly surprised by how easily it happens once they let go of trying to make it happen and simply allow it to unfold.
Will I be under your control?
No — absolutely not. I’ll offer suggestions and guide you through the process, but you are always in complete control.
All hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis. Even though I guide you into a relaxed, focused state, you are the one choosing to engage with the experience. I simply help you access the hypnotic state — I cannot make you do or say anything you don’t want to.
There are many misconceptions about hypnosis, especially due to what’s seen in stage shows. In truth, if you don’t want to be hypnotized, you won’t be. Those who appear on stage are usually carefully selected through testing and elimination in how willig they are to “follow along”. People that tend to be highly hypnotizable are open, willing to follow directions, and often highly intelligent and creative individuals.
Will you make me do something I don’t want to do?
Will you make me do something I don’t want to do?
Can hypnosis make me forget a memory?
No, hypnosis cannot make you forget a memory. However, it’s important to understand that it’s usually not the memory itself that causes distress, but rather the emotions connected to it.
For example, imagine someone who fears water because they nearly drowned as a child. The water isn’t the real problem — it’s the emotional response linked to that past event. Meanwhile, someone else might love the water and feel peaceful swimming in the ocean. The difference lies in how each person feels about the experience.
Hypnosis helps by releasing or transforming the strong emotions tied to a person, situation, event, or memory. You’ll still remember what happened, but the emotional charge — fear, sadness, anger, or pain — can shift or fade.
There are many misconceptions about hypnosis, often shaped by movies that make it seem like magic or mind control. While hypnosis can feel magical in how deeply it changes emotional patterns, it doesn’t erase memories — it helps you see and feel them differently, with more peace and understanding.
Why I remember what happen while in hypnosis?
Yes, you will remember what happened during the session, and I take notes to ensure that any important details are captured. Sometimes, however, specific details may fade over time, similar to how we sometimes forget dreams. The most important changes are reflected in how you feel. We are working primarily with the subconscious mind rather than the conscious mind, so not everything may make complete conscious sense.
I encourage you not to worry too much about remembering everything, as that’s a conscious concern. Think of it like trying to recall the name of an actor or musician that’s ‘on the tip of your tongue’—you can’t remember it right away, but then one day it just comes to you out of nowhere. This is a good example of how our work affects the subconscious. While you may not consciously remember every detail, rest assured that the most important aspects will remain with you.
What is the subconscious mind?
The subconscious is essentially your emotional body, which is VERY strongly associated with your actions, feelings, and beliefs.
I like to interchange it with your “felt sense” which is your body’s feelings, or the emotions going within you, and listening to your body is a way to connect with the subconscious.
For example, anxiety and chest pain tell us we don’t like something – we fear something, whether it be fear of performance or fear of something not going the way we would want. That feeling anxiety gives you, maybe chest pain or tension throughout your body, is the “felt sense.”
Sometimes, your conscious mind does not know why you do certain things or behave certain ways; but through hypnosis, we essentially can communicate with this side of the mind to understand the reasoning on a conscious level.
Your subconscious mind is highly intuitive and intelligent in that it takes in a great deal of data from your life experiences. It is this data from the past that lead to memories and beliefs that create the reality and life you are currently living.
You hold these memories, experiences and beliefs in your subconscious mind. No matter how much you consciously try to understand it, this conscious side and the critical mind (or that “chattering voice”) interferes with knowing truly what the subconscious desires.
The separateness of the mind demonstrates the dual nature of your mind.
What is the conscious mind?
The conscious mind is that voice in your head, the mind that talks within you, and thoughts which you can observe and listen – the conscious mind is your awareness of an experience.
However, your conscious mind is greatly influenced by your subconscious mind – although they can be completely detached from one another or mis-aligned.
Throughout your life, you have created life-guards, protective factors, or defense mechanisms that suppress your emotions or your true feelings.
How do the Conscious & Subconscious mind work together?
The conscious and subconscious minds are meant to work as a team — but for most of us, communication between them isn’t very clear.
Your conscious mind is the logical, analytical part that tries to make sense of how you feel. Yet throughout life, many of us have been taught to suppress emotions rather than understand them. You may have heard things like, “Stop crying,” “It’s fine,” “Don’t be angry,” or “Get over it.” Over time, these messages teach us to ignore or bury our feelings instead of listening to them.
This suppression creates a disconnect between what you consciously think and what you subconsciously feel. You might begin to feel numb, detached, or uncertain about your emotions — not because something is wrong with you, but because those emotional signals were never fully processed or understood.
You can think of your mind like a large ship.
Your conscious mind is the captain on the bridge — steering, planning, and making decisions based on what it can see.
Your subconscious mind, however, is the engine room below deck. It keeps the ship running — managing emotions, memories, habits, and automatic responses. The captain can’t see what’s happening below, but depends on the engineers to report issues and keep everything functioning smoothly.
When the communication between the bridge and the engine room breaks down, the ship doesn’t move efficiently — it may even drift off course. Hypnosis helps restore that communication, allowing the captain and the crew to work together again. Once the subconscious is heard and its emotional energy is processed, you naturally feel lighter, clearer, and more in control.
