There’s A Pattern You’re Fed Up With Repeating

Whether or not you understand why it keeps happening, you can change the automatic reactions, habits, and behaviors keeping you stuck—without spending years only talking about them.

I use individualized hypnotherapy to work with what is driving the pattern—not just how it appears on the surface.

You May Know Something Needs To Change But Don’t Know How To Change it

Perhaps your mind knows that you are safe, but your body continues to react with fear or anxiety.

Maybe you recognize a particular pattern in your relationships and don’t want to repeat it with a new person.

You may know what you want to do, but procrastination, perfectionism, self-doubt, or avoidance continues to interfere.

Or perhaps you cannot explain the response at all. You only know that it keeps happening.

You may recognize:

  • Anxiety, fear, or persistent overthinking
  • Physical tension or body-based stress responses
  • People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
  • Repeating relationship or attachment patterns
  • Fear of rejection, abandonment, or being seen
  • Procrastination, perfectionism, or self-sabotage
  • Difficulty trusting yourself or following through
  • A feeling of being stuck despite considerable self-awareness

The continuation of a pattern does not mean that you are broken or unwilling to change. It may mean that there is a deeper programming operating beyond your conscious  awareness.

Instead of fighting the response, we begin by understand it at the level it lives – The Subconscious.

What Is Hypnotherapy?

what is hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process that uses relaxed, focused attention to help you become more aware of the thoughts, emotions, body sensations, memories, and automatic responses connected with a pattern.

You are not asleep or under someone else’s control. You remain aware, able to speak, and involved throughout the experience.

In this focused state, we can move beyond simply talking about what happens and explore a pattern that you want to reprogram and change. We realize:

  • What may be activating it
  • What it may be trying to accomplish
  • What keeps it in place
  • What a more useful response could feel like and be

More Than Suggestion Alone

My approach is not limited to repeating positive statements or reading a general hypnosis script.

It is more about opening your mind, sort of like a child has in which there is more pliability or neurolasticity – that is what being in an altered state of consciousness (or hypnosis) is about.

Sessions are interactive and individualized. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate focused hypnosis, parts-oriented dialogue, Gestalt techniques, Transactional Analysis concepts, imagery, body awareness, and regression when appropriate.

The Rapid Realization Framework

Sometimes you can understand a pattern and still feel it take over. That is because knowing something mentally is not always the same as feeling its meaning emotionally or experiencing a change in your body’s response.

The Rapid Realization Framework helps bring these three levels of awareness together.

You recognize the pattern, understand what activates it, and see what it may be trying to accomplish even if it is contradicting.

Your mind understands: “Now I see why this keeps happening.”

You experience the pattern from within—through the emotions and body—and recognize what it is trying to protect, prevent, or provide.

Your emotional body recognizes: “I can feel what I need and why its current strategy is not working.”

Your mental understanding and emotional experience begin working together. A different response becomes embodied.

Your mind and body agree: “I understand it, I feel it, and I respond differently because of it.”

A meaningful shift is more than an “aha” moment or feeling calmer during a session. It is the integration of awareness into lived experience.

So what does that look like in a session?

The framework is not a predetermined script. We listen to what you say, notice what you feel, and pay attention to how your body responds. What emerges helps guide the session.

Before

We begin with a free phone consultation. It is an opportunity for me to understand what has been happening, for you to ask questions, and for us to determine whether working together feels appropriate.

If we decide to proceed, we will schedule your initial session.

hypnosis with Dr Ann Marie

During

We clarify the pattern and what you would like to experience differently. You may be asked to rate the emotional or physical intensity before we begin.

During hypnosis, you remain awake, aware, and able to communicate. Together, we explore the thoughts, emotions, and even memories connected with the pattern.

The session is interactive and guided by what emerges—not by a general script.

After hypnosis with Ann Marie

After

Before ending, we check what feels different and whether any internal resistance or “yes, but” response remains.

We discuss how to reinforce the new understanding when the pattern appears in everyday life. Some shifts may be noticed immediately, while others become clearer through lived experience or require additional exploration.

Ready to see if this is right for you?

Book a free phone consultation. There is no commitment and no pressure—just a conversation about what you are experiencing and whether my approach may be an appropriate fit.

A Perspective Shaped by Medicine, Hypnotherapy, and Lived Experience

I earned my medical degree believing that understanding the human body would help me understand suffering. Later, while helping build behavioral-health operations, I saw how often people received help for symptoms without enough space to understand the person and pattern underneath them.

My own healing eventually led me to hypnotherapy, subconscious-pattern work and body-based awareness. Today, I bring those perspectives together to help people who understand their problem intellectually but still feel controlled by the response beneath it.

Most Commonly Asked Questions

Are Virtual Sessions just as effective?

Yes, a virtual session can indeed be just as effective as an in-person session. The preference is entirely yours. To ensure a virtual session is just as successful, you simply need to be in a comfortable, distraction-free space. Headphones and/or a good microphone are recommended because when people enter a trance, their voice naturally lowers and becomes harder to hear. Using your computer or laptop is best, but a phone can also be used if no other option is available. Most people find a spot on their bed or lying on a couch.

What if I never done hypnosis or even meditated I worry my mind will be to busy?

This is a common worry and I would say everyones mind is busy, that is usually why the issue hasn’t changed. You do not have to have any experince, most are surprised how aware they become of the mind and how much more quiet it can get. The voice does not nessesarily go away but it remains active but because you would be working with someone like me I would individualized the work for you. SO if your mind is more b usy that is ok.

Sometimes people will feel this way also because they have “tried meditation” and can’t quiet there mind, meditation is differet then hyposis and even if you tried self-hypnosis recordings working with a trained porfessional that can respond in real time is very different and that is what makes the process so much more effective then doing it on hyour own.

Is hypnosis just a placebo effect?

No. Brain-imaging research shows hypnosis measurably changes activity in the brain regions that process pain and threat — a real neurological shift, not just expectation. Controlled trials also find hypnosis outperforms attention and education. That said, a calm, hopeful mindset only helps the work along.

Can I just do one session?

Yes, you can. However depending on what you are looking to acheive usually more then one sesson is recommened.

Because this is an investment I want you to feel confident it will work for you and so I always recommend you try the first session. There is no mandatory commitment and after the first session if you feel that the approach is right for I offer discounted package that you can decide on your second session and the initial one is prorated that way there is a discount. I do this because success is always compounded with more session and greater success this way. We are traiing the mind so just like any work out routine we want to make sure the porgramming is there.

It is my mission to help create real long-lasting change. One-hit wonders simply do not last for inner change that truly transforms your entire life.

EXCEPTION: If you are struggling with a VERY specific and usually one time event – one session can have great success, but to make sure this is fully intergated I will still recommend a follow up to allow experice to show the results.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the specific issue but there is a trend. On average for phobias and fears 3-5 sessions is needed. For more generalized issues related to relationship, anxiety or an ongoing pattern since you were a kid 10 sessions are typically the average.

Will I be unconscious or lose control during a session?

No. You stay fully awake, aware, and in control the whole time — “all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.” Hypnosis is simply a state of focused attention, like becoming absorbed in a good movie. You cannot be made to do anything against your values, and you can end the state whenever you choose. Most people state it is an enjoyable feelings. Unfortunately much of our movie industry has portraid hypnosis to be somethig is not. Additionally when it comes to therapeutic-hypnotherapy it is not like the stage shows.

Do you accept Insurance or HSA?
