From Medical Doctor to Hypnotherapist ~ A Journey in Healing
I Did Everything “Right”—But I Still Felt Broken Inside
I went to medical school to learn how to heal others—while quietly hoping I’d learn how to fix myself along the way.
I studied hard, earned my MD, and passed all my board exams.
I became an early executive hire in a rapidly scaling behavioral health startup, playing a central role in building core clinical and operational systems during the company’s foundational years.
I quickly climbed into a leadership role overseeing multiple mental healthcare operations across the nation.
On paper I checked all the boxes and even appeared to be thriving as a medical professional. But inside? I felt hollow. Disconnected. Unseen. Unfulfilled.
Why I Left Traditional Medicine
The deeper I worked within the healthcare system, the more I witnessed its fundamental flaws. What I saw broke my heart—and ultimately changed my entire career path.
I watched the medical system I had dedicated my life to failing the very people it claimed to serve.
Brilliant doctors were reduced to 7-minute patient visits because of insurance limitations. People who desperately needed comprehensive healing were shuffled through managed care bureaucracy that prioritized profit over people. I witnessed firsthand how the system was designed for billing codes and pharmaceutical solutions—not for the deep, lasting transformation people actually needed.
The realization hit me hard when I needed answers myself.
I didn’t want to spend my career fighting insurance companies just to give people the time and attention they deserved.
I didn’t want to prescribe band-aid solutions – that is not why I “did all of this”. I wanted to work one-on-one with individuals, without limitations, without insurance companies dictating how healing could happen.
But leaving traditional medicine wasn’t just about professional disillusionment. The personal toll was devastating too.

The Personal Crisis: When Success Feels Like Failure
I was in a relationship that left me feeling deeply alone, like I had failed at something fundamental. I was working relentlessly toward goals that never seemed to satisfy me. Despite my medical training and professional success, I felt lost.
Desperate for answers, I had exhausted everything I knew in the “conventional” sense.
Why Traditional Medicine and Self-Help Weren’t Enough: Something Deeper Was Missing
I had already tried “everything” the medical world offered:
- I was an avid meditator
- I read countless self-help books
- I ate well, worked out regularly, journaled daily
- I even tried prescription medications that didn’t help
But that familiar sensation kept creeping back: that heavy ache, the lump in my throat, the twist in my chest. The quiet sense that I was pretending—that people saw strength on the outside while I felt weak within.
Something was missing…
How Childhood Foster Care Trauma Shaped My Path
Being placed in foster care and emancipated at 16 taught me early how to survive, how to push through, how to stay strong when it felt like the world had abandoned me.
And somehow, I made it through. I even thrived professionally.
But survival doesn’t equal healing. When I finally stopped pushing—when I started listening to what my body was holding—I began to see the trauma patterns I couldn’t think my way out of as a doctor.
My childhood trauma wasn’t gone—it was buried deep in my subconscious.
The Hypnotherapy Breakthrough
It wasn’t another medical journal that helped. It wasn’t traditional therapy. It was the moment I turned inward—into the subconscious, into the body—and allowed myself to truly feel, without running or numbing.
Hypnotherapy became the missing piece. Not the stage hypnosis you see in shows. The kind that gently dissolves old trauma stories held in the nervous system—the kind that reminds your whole being that it’s safe to heal.
As a medical doctor, I was amazed by what happened. I started to feel something completely different—something I had never known: genuine peace, presence, and freedom.
From Disillusioned Doctor to Certified Hypnotherapist
Today, I combine my medical training with certified hypnotherapy to help others find what traditional medicine couldn’t give them—or me.
I don’t believe in fixing people. I believe in creating space for the part of you that’s been buried to come forward. The version of you that’s not just surviving—but actually living.
If you’re a healthcare professional, high achiever, or someone who’s “done everything right” and still feel stuck… I see you.
If you’ve read the books, tried therapy, maybe even tried medications, and still feel like something’s missing… I get it.
You don’t need more tools. You need something deeper.
My Approach is Subconscious Healing
As both an MD and certified Fort Lauderdale hypnotherapist, I understand that true healing happens where medicine meets consciousness. My work navigates deep within the subconscious mind—because sometimes the most profound medicine isn’t found in a prescription, but in the wisdom your body and what it is communicating through your emotions.
This work is deep. It’s honest. It’s transformational. It’s not always easy—but it’s always worth it
